Andrew Lientz is VP of managed services at global content delivery network EdgeCast. Andrew is responsible for overseeing the deployment of CDN technology into EdgeCast software. In addition, Andrew has managed the development, planning and deployment of IPv6 throughout the EdgeCast network, which includes 24 data centers, more than 1,000 peering and transit providers, and thousands of servers worldwide.
Andrew was previously VP of engineering at EdgeCast. This experience—and his extensive background in reporting, data mining and application development atop large-scale data warehouses—has helped him contribute to making EdgeCast a world-class CDN.
Prior to joining EdgeCast, Andrew started Harvest Solutions, a Web analytics provider, in February 2000. There he built platforms to perform data processing on low-cost hardware using a grid system. In April 2005, Harvest Solutions was acquired by CheetahMail (an Experian company) to build out its advanced email capabilities using Web analytic data. He continued to work on bringing Experian's massive marketing database of offline data into online marketing.
Andrew earned an MS in electrical engineering from UCLA and a BS in engineering from Harvey Mudd College.
