Lisa Phifer is president of Core Competence, a consulting firm focused on enterprise adoption of emerging network and security technologies. Lisa has been involved in the design, implementation and evaluation of networking, security and management products for 30 years. Since joining Core Competence in 1995, she has advised companies large and small regarding security and mobility needs, product assessment, and the use of emerging technologies and best practices. Lisa often speaks about wireless LANs, mobile security and mobility management at industry events, and has written extensively for numerous publications, including SearchNetworking, Information Security, Tom's IT Pro, Wi-Fi Planet and Enterprise Networking Planet. Lisa's columns are published monthly by Webtorials TechNotes, SearchConsumerization, UBM Champion Community and the AirWISE Forum Security Center. Lisa holds an MS in computer science from Villanova University and a BS in computer science from West Chester University.
