Paul F. Roberts


Paul F. Roberts is a contributing editor at Dark Reading and editor-in-chief at The Security Ledger, a computer security news blog. Paul has spent the last decade covering hacking, cyber threats and IT security, including working in senior positions as a writer, editor and industry analyst. Prior to launching The Security Ledger, Paul was editor of and a security evangelist for Threatpost’s ­­corporate parent, Kaspersky Lab. Before that, Paul was a senior analyst in The 451 Group’s ­enterprise security practice, where he covered trends and technology developments in the security market, with a concentration in endpoint security. Paul has held positions as an editor and senior writer for and Ziff Davis’, and began his reporting career as a U.S. ­correspondent for IDG News Service. 

Prior to donning a reporter’s cap, Paul spent eight years working in the high-tech field as a ­technical writer, trainer and communications specialist for companies such as Cisco Systems, Logica and SteelPoint Technologies (now part of HP). He is frequently interviewed about trends within the cybersecurity space, and has appeared on The Oprah Show and NPR’s Marketplace Tech Report, and in The Boston Globe, and Fortune Small Business.
