Cyber Security Standards for Major Infrastructure
It is now simply a given fact that the critical infrastructure of the United States government and the vital private businesses that serve it and its citizens is vulnerable to cyber-attacks from both criminals and state-backed operators.
Given this disturbing reality, the federal government in February established an executive order that directed the various federal agencies and departments to improve the state of cyber-security in the face of inevitable, well-organized attacks. It’s closing in on one year since the order was put out, and many experts are surprised at how far along in development — even at some level of implementation — the framework is.
