Slight Uptick in Optimism

When we first conducted our U.S. Technology Innovation Survey two years ago, 63% of respondents said they thought the U.S. was a strong IT player but losing its global lead. That number hasn't changed, but the percentage who think the U.S. is a global leader set to grow its influence is up slightly, to 34% from 32%.

In this report, we look at what business technology pros think is holding back U.S. innovation, where they say the U.S. still has an edge and what they think the government should do to support IT innovation. We also take a look at what the Commerce Department, the World Economic Forum and other organizations have to say on the subject. (R4830612)
